January 15, 2021

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Today, Congressman Marc Veasey (TX-33) announced that he will join the House Armed Services Committee and continue to serve on the Energy and Commerce Committee during the 117th Congress.

"I am honored to serve on two committees that have a huge impact on the daily lives of Texans and play a pivotal role in my state's robust economy," said Congressman Marc Veasey. "Our Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex has a strong tradition of championing the defense and energy resource sectors that employ thousands of Texans across our state, which fall under these committees' jurisdiction.

I am honored to once again serve on the House Armed Services Committee to help create jobs in the North Texas defense sector and ensure our brave servicemembers have the resources they need to protect us, because we need a multifaceted approach to bolstering our national security. Additionally, I am excited to continue to use my role on the Energy and Commerce Committee to expand affordable access to health care, to help America overcome the COVID-19 crisis, to bolster broadband access, and to ensure our nation and the state of Texas stay world leaders in the energy sector. I look forward to using my positions during the 117th Congress to deliver progress for Americans and remain a strong voice for the people of North Texas."
