Congressman Marc Veasey Continues Fighting For Comprehensive Immigration Reform

May 14, 2013

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Rep. Veasey Joins Immigration Reform Leaders in Miami.

Yesterday, Congressman Marc Veasey joined several congressional leaders for an immigration reform forum in Miami, Florida. The event, hosted by Congresswoman Frederica Wilson, brought together congressional leaders on the front-line of immigration reform including, Congressman Luis Gutierrez, Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee, Congresswoman Yvette Clarke, and Congressman Marc Veasey.

“I am proud to join my fellow colleagues in the Congressional Hispanic Caucus and Congressional Black Caucus in calling for comprehensive immigration reform. Undocumented immigrants from diverse countries of origin in cities across the country – from Miami to Dallas and Fort Worth – have lived in the shadows for far too long. While I am hopeful that the Senate immigration proposal will continue moving forward, I will not stop fighting until reform becomes reality,” said Congressman Marc Veasey.

The forum was hosted by Congresswoman Frederica Wilson who represents Florida’s 24th Congressional District and held at the Haitian Evangelical Church in North Miami.
