Congressman Marc Veasey Congratulates Fort Worth-Meacham Airport for Texas Transportation Commission Grant
Washington, D.C. – Today Rep. Veasey announced that the Texas Transportation Commission will award funding from the Federal Aviation Administration Airport Improvement Program (AIP) a grant of $1.9 million to Fort Worth-Meacham Airport for terminal building and pavement improvements. This funding is an addition to the $3,000,000 in Federal Aviation Funds for pavement and lighting improvements, announced earlier this month, totaling nearly $5 million. Both of these grants are being administered from the Federal Aviation Administration's Airport Improvement Program that distributes federal funds for state transportation agencies to award to qualified applicants.
"One of the fastest and best ways to create good jobs is by rebuilding America's roads, bridges, rails, ports, and airports. This is why I have consistently advocated for continued efforts to improve our nation's transportation infrastructure," said Congressman Veasey. "I would like to congratulate Fort Worth-Meacham Airport on receiving these funds."
