Fort Worth, TX (WBAP/KLIF) – A retired Fort Worth school teacher is delighted about her chance to attend President Trump’s first State of the Union address Tuesday.

WFAA-TV reports former Dunbar Middle School teacher Charmion Johnson-Polk was invited by Fort Worth Congressman and former student Marc Veasey.  Johnson-Polk told the station.

“I never dreamed I would be getting up in the gallery to see or to hear a president speak.”

Veasey was once a member for Johnson-Polk’s ‘King Kids of America,’ a group of students who traveled internationally singing hymns and reciting MLK Jr. speeches.
