Shine a Spotlight on Airlines Fees

The Transparent Airfares Act would help bring clarity to airline advertising and, in turn, help the industry ward off unnecessary economic pain. For this reason, it has strong bipartisan support in Congress - among cosponsors in the U.S. House are Texas Reps. Republicans Blake Farenthold of Corpus Christi and Roger Williams of Austin, andDemocrats Marc Veasey and Eddie Bernice Johnson of Dallas - and the backing of several major labor unions including the Air Line Pilots Association, the United Brotherhood of Teamsters and the AFL-CIO.
