North Texas Congressional incumbents don’t appear to be going anywhere

Rep. Marc Veasey, D-Fort Worth, beat activist Carlos Quintanilla in the Democratic primary.

Veasey has represented the 33rd Congressional District since 2012. Veasey will face Republican Mark Mitchell, an attorney and doctor who owns property in the district but does not actually live there.

Johnson and Veasey are expected to sail to victory in November’s general election in their heavily Democratic districts.
