As part of Veasey's continued focus to bring jobs to the DFW Metroplex, Veasey will work at the prominent manufacturing plant's production line, conduct quality assurance, and participate in a flight test (weather permitting). Washington, D.C. – On Tuesday, November 14, 2017, House Republicans on the Rules Committee rejected an amendment offered by Congressman Marc Veasey, TX-33, to add provisions to the House Republican tax bill that would support the working class. Rep. Veasey's amendment would have strengthened families, assisted immigrants who want to become patriotic Americans, and incentivized greater access to fresh, healthy food.

Washington, D.C. – Today, Congressman Marc Veasey, a co-chair of the House Democratic Caucus Access to Jobs Task Force, led a discussion with Members of Congress and experts on jobs, education, and vocational training to discuss how Democrats can further promote commonsense policies that benefit working men and women in America.

As part of the House Democratic Caucus Jobs for America effort, the Access to Jobs Task Force met to consider ways to expand apprenticeships and the middle class and create opportunities for the hardest-working individuals in the country.

Forest Hill, TX – As part of his October ‘Marc Means Business' workday, Congressman Marc Veasey (TX-33) reported for duty at a local Starbucks in Forest Hill to work alongside morning shift employees and learn about ground-level operations at the popular coffee chain. During his workday, Veasey learned to operate the cash register, create the chain's signature coffees and teas, and service the drive-thru window during the morning rush hour.

Washington, D.C.Today, Congressman Marc Veasey, TX-33, a member of the House Armed Services Committee, was named by Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi to serve on the conference committee for the FY18 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), a bill that authorizes funding for the Department of Defense for the next fiscal year. The conference committee is made up of Republicans and Democrats selected by their parties to negotiate any differences between the House and Senate versions and develop final language for NDAA FY18.
