Rep. Veasey Honors 2018 Congressional Veterans Commendation Recipients

Fort Worth, Texas – On Thursday, November 8, 2018, Congressman Marc Veasey will honor four veterans with the Congressional Veteran Commendation at his annual Veterans Town Hall at Texas Wesleyan University in Fort Worth.

The nominations-based program designed to recognize the wartime sacrifices and peacetime community involvement of veterans of the 33rd Congressional District of Texas. Recipients of the award include: Abdel Casiano, Christopher Ray, David Whitley, and Jherarrd Crockett.

Following the ceremony, veterans, active duty military personnel, and their families are encouraged to participate in the Veterans Town Hall. Rep. Veasey will lead a discussion on the epidemic of veteran suicide and mental health. Guests will include VA North Texas, MHMR of Tarrant Country, and Catholic Charities of Fort Worth.
