Congressman Veasey Works with Holiday Inn Express for his November ‘Marc Means Business’ Work Day

Arlington, TX— On Friday, November 13, Congressman Marc Veasey, TX-33, will be rolling up his sleeves at the Arlington Holiday Inn Express & Suites to help prepare the hotel for the busy holiday travel season. As part of his monthly "Marc Means Business" work day, Veasey will work alongside employees to better understand the challenges they face in their work and daily lives. Veasey will be greeting and checking in guests, serving breakfast, assisting with the daily reporting, and working alongside housekeeping staff to prepare rooms for guests.
"The DFW Metroplex welcomes over 40 million visitors each year. Many people travel to DFW to visit family and explore the Metroplex's many attractions and their trip is impacted by the hospitality they receive at Metroplex hotels. Working with the Holiday Inn Express will give me the opportunity to see the positive impact hotels have on the community, including economic benefits, job opportunities for residents and, most importantly, community involvement in the region. It is important that guests not only enjoy their visit, but also are welcomed with a high standard of hospitality." Congressman Veasey said.
Since March 2014, Rep. Veasey has spent a day each month working at a different job in his district. He has repaired military aircraft components at Bell Helicopter, assembled surgical packs with eye care company Alcon, practiced fire safety drills with the Fort Worth Fire Department, and delivered packages with the United Parcel Service.
