Congressman Veasey's Statement Regarding Omar Salazar's Detention by ICE

Washington, D.C.— Congressman Veasey has released the following statement regarding the detention of Omar Salazar at Bluebonnet Detention Center: 

“My office has been in contact with Dallas community leaders regarding Omar Salazar’s detention by ice following a stop by the Lubbock police department. we are working with his legal team and ice to assist however we can. my team and I will continue to actively monitor the situation and provide support to ensure that ice follows proper law and procedure in a humane and just manner.”
