CONGRESSMAN MARC VEASEY RECEIVES SUBCOMMITTEE ASSIGNMENTS

FORT WORTH, TX – Congressman Veasey Selected to Key Subcommittees for the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex.

Today, Congressman Marc Veasey’s office announced his subcommittee assignments on the House Armed Services Committee and the House Committee on Science, Space and Technology. In December, Congressman Veasey was named to the powerful House Armed Services Committee.

“National Security and Energy Security go hand in hand and I am pleased to serve on subcommittees so important to the 33rd congressional district and the state of Texas as a whole. Texas is an energy rich state, and as a member of the Subcommittee on Energy, I will be working to encourage responsible energy research and development. Production from both fossil fuels and renewable energy will strengthen our nation’s energy independence, and lower energy production costs for families and businesses,” said Rep. Marc Veasey.

Congressman Veasey was named to the following House subcommittees:

Subcommittee on Tactical Air and Land Forces
Subcommittee on Strategic Forces
Science, Space and Technology Committee
Subcommittee on Energy
Subcommittee on Space

Representing Texas’ 33rd Congressional District, Congressman Marc Veasey is serving his first term in the U.S. House of Representatives. He was born and raised in Fort Worth, and calls the Metroplex home.
