April 10, 2013

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Wednesday, April 10, Congressman Marc Veasey and Douglas Interiano from Proyecto Inmigrante in Dallas-Fort Worth met to discuss the urgent need for comprehensive immigration reform. As thousands of people march on our nation’s capital, Congressman Veasey and Douglas Interiano reiterated their commitment to making comprehensive immigration reform a reality.

“Today’s call to action confirms what we already know – that now is the time for comprehensive immigration reform. The voices of thousands of people across the country are helping move this issue forward, and together with partners like Proyecto Inmigrante, I am optimistic that we will see reform soon,” said Congressman Marc Veasey. “I will not stop fighting for comprehensive immigration reform until we bring 11 million people out of the shadows.”

“It is time that our representatives put forth the interest of our nation before that of partisanship. The American people are waiting and hoping that through compromise our leaders will bring us together. Proyecto Inmigrante applauds the efforts and courage of Members like Congressman Marc Veasey who are leading the immigration debate. Proyecto Inmigrante supports immigration reform now,” said Douglas D. Interiano, Chief Executive Officer, Proyecto Inmigrante ICS, Inc.
