WASHINGTON, D.C. – Rep. Veasey Joins Immigration Reform Leaders in Miami.
Yesterday, Congressman Marc Veasey joined several congressional leaders for an immigration reform forum in Miami, Florida. The event, hosted by Congresswoman Frederica Wilson, brought together congressional leaders on the front-line of immigration reform including, Congressman Luis Gutierrez, Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee, Congresswoman Yvette Clarke, and Congressman Marc Veasey.
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Senator Ted Cruz filed five amendments to the immigration reform legislation currently before the Senate Judiciary Committee. One of the amendments would ensure that the 11 million undocumented immigrants are not given a pathway to citizenship. The roundtable discussion focused on the need to implement comprehensive immigration reform and included elected officials and community leaders from across the Metroplex.
